You came to fast
How was everyone's weekend?! I've come to the conclusion that posting on the weekend, is a no go for me. I posted yesterday, to celebrate grandparent's day, and I tell ya it took me 2 hours! With the hubs needing this and the son crying about this. I just couldn't stay focused enough to get the thing done. I am surprised I finished it! You would think with the extra hand I would be able to post in no time. Haha but other than that, Our weekend was pretty fantastic (:
We kicked off our weekend with a graduation! (: He did it! I don't think everyone understands how amazing this is! This graduation is definitely the top of our list of accomplishments. He has accomplished so much and became a much stronger soldier just with in the last six weeks. I know he has had two prior graduations, but this one tops all of them! He went through a lot and endured it all! Need I say more I am one proud wife! I didn't take many photos, because little man would get up every time I got up. Did happen to get a family photo (: thanks to Christine! One of the ladies I have met here so far! I wonder if I was the only one who wanted to cry when they were saying the creed! Haha the very first few days of this training I stayed up till 2:00 am helping the hubs remember it. Just hearing them all say it with such power and strength in their voices, it was so awesome!
He is secretly excited to be wearing that beret FINALLY (:
I tried a new recipe this weekend! Boy, was that amazing! I have a new found love for my new crock pot! I have never cooked anything, myself, in a crock pot! Needless to say, I was amazed and hooked to it! Can't wait to make my moms french dip roast beef sandwiches soon! I will post the recipe tomorrow! (: so keep an eye out if you have been looking for something new to add to your menu.
After we devoured dinner Saturday, we headed out to Riverfest in downtown Clarksville! Phil Vassar was playing and a newer country artist called Johnny T were playing so we thought we would attempt to watch. Well, we didn't see them. We got there after 6:00ish and so by 9:00, when Phil Vassar was about to go on, little man started acting up! Go figure haha. It was fun while it lasted though (:
When we got to Riverfest, the boys were drawn to the river. Go figure! (: We probably could have just sat there the whole night. Most people go check out the vendors or buy a funnel cake. Nope, mine decided to sit by the river and watch the boats and the fish ripple through the water. I can't complain (: I enjoy taking photos of these two together (: They are so much a like in so many ways!
After we fought traffic and made it back home we made our own funnel cakes! My awesome aunt got us this funnel cake kit when we got married almost 4 years ago, and it is still being used every so often! I hide it normally, so I don't get tempted to make a billion of these babies a day. Probably, one of the neatest things I have every gotten as a gift. Little man really liked them a lot. All the pictures I took of him eating it was a blur from all the movement! He was tearing them up.
We ended our weekend with a lazy day on Sunday, and watched World War Z and Monsters University (: Might I add, that I really liked World War Z! My zombie obsession is growing! I can't wait for the hubs schedule to get semi-normal, so we can start watching Walking Dead! Even though the hubs has graduated he still has lots of training to do. Today and tomorrow are going to be very busy! He has already texted me saying it is going to be a long day. Which means I gotta make a good carb-filled dinner for him tonight! Keep him in your thoughts and prayers! (: Time to clip coupons from yesterday's paper! Hope everyone has a great day!
